Ashley’s New Beginning

A young woman named Ashley walked into our Resource Center, visibly afraid and with nowhere to go. After the passing of her mother, Ashley suddenly found herself homeless when other family members refused to let her remain in the home she once shared with her mom. With no support system and no safe place to stay, she had been sleeping outside.

When Ashley arrived, it was clear she needed immediate care—fresh clothing, a shower, a warm meal, and most importantly, safety. She was open to any help we could provide and was eager for a chance to rebuild her life.

Thanks to the compassion of donors like you, we were able to place Ashley in a hotel room that same day. There, she received hygiene essentials, food, and clothing—simple items that brought her comfort and restored her dignity. Ashley was referred to the Tiny Homes Program, where she is thriving. She returned to us over the holidays to show off her “new” look and express her gratitude for setting her on the path to housing stability.
